The Colts and Bills played in our first real snowed-out game of the season in Buffalo. As you might imagine, things were pretty quiet offensively, but the game got hectic as it neared its conclusion.
Colts’ game-tying curveball extra point could’ve been wiped out because they tried to clear snow
This game has been fun, mostly because of the snow.

The Colts scored a touchdown with 1:16 left in the game and went for the two-point conversion, which they succeeded at — except the Colts were called for an offensive pass interference and were forced to try an extra point.
The Colts called a timeout so they’d be able to clear the snow for Adam Vinatieri to kick the extra point.
The Colts would get a sideline warning after sideline attendants came onto the field and started helping the players clear the snow with their feet, according to Football Zebras. The attendants are only allowed on the field to provide relief to the players as needed.
Vinatieri then lined up for the extra point, which was a 43-yarder, not a guaranteed thing by any means, especially when you consider the weather. But the snow clearing was as effective as can be, and he knocked in a curveball:
The Bills threw an interception on the ensuing drive, and after Frank Gore advanced the ball three yards, Vinatieri missed a 43-yarder that would have won the game in regulation.
A game with this much snow could only have a wild finish like this, and we’re getting it.
