Noon ET: Texas Tech vs. USF, Birmingham Bowl, ESPN/WatchESPN
December 23’s football schedule, with NFL and college football bowl games both happening
Welcome to one of those weird Saturdays in December with both levels playing games on the same day.

The Bulls attempt to become truly the gods of Birmingham (they’re already the only team to ever win here twice) against a TTU that’s not quite as helpless on defense these days. This could be one of the first few very good bowls.
3:30 p.m. ET: Army vs. San Diego State, Armed Forces Bowl, ESPN/WatchESPN
Both these teams like to run the ball and get games over with as rapidly as possible. You might be able to watch this entire thing and still catch most of the NFL game, if you wanted.
4:30 p.m. ET: Colts at Ravens, NFL Network/NFL Mobile
Will the Colts score? Like, any points? Baltimore’s playoff path appears clear as they welcome the franchise that ran out of town 33 years ago.
7 p.m. ET: Appalachian State vs. Toledo, Dollar General Bowl, ESPN/WatchESPN
Yes, there’s a Dollar General Bowl. This is one of the best Group of 5 games on the whole bowl calendar, pairing Sun Belt and MAC champs.
8:30 p.m. ET: Vikings at Packers, NBC/NBCSports.com
No Aaron Rodgers, but a remote chance to spoil a rival’s shot at a first-round bye should be sufficient motivation. The Vikings are stuck with short-week travel after playing three of their last four on the road, but are 8-point favorites.
