The Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings were locked in an overtime battle Saturday night. We saw DeMarcus Cousins jam all over Javale “Shaqtin” McGee while nearly racking up a triple-double, Steve Kerr get ejected after unleashing expletives on a ref, and Kevin Durant mostly disappear.
Steph Curry blew game-winning layup so badly this kid switched allegiances
A concerning trend of bandwagon fans continues. Where’s the loyalty?

Despite all of that, Stephen Curry dropped 35 points on 11-of-20 shooting, including 8-of-14 from three-point land, and was in position to get the Dubs a win in OT.
Wait. What?! He blew it!
This one’s not as demoralizing as blowing a 3-1 lead, as it doesn’t affect the Warriors’ standing at the top of the conference. Nevertheless, it’s bad. And while it might not shake up the standings, it did happen to shake the faith of one young Warriors fan — and by Warriors fan, I now mean Kings fan.
Just look at this:
And while this is almost certainly not real, the effect is still devastating. The Kings’ Twitter account poked fun at the young bandwagon fan, but there’s never been any loyalty among bandwagon fans anyway, no matter the age.
For example, the Warriors picked up a new fan last season at a Los Angeles Lakers game.
And earlier this season, Giannis Antetokounmpo swatted Russell Westbrook’s shot so hard, it shook a young fan to his core and made him switch allegiances.
The two young bandwagon fans look like the beneficiaries of a theme night at a visiting stadium. The Lakers-turned-Warriors fan? I don’t know, he looks like he dropped bread for both jerseys. That’s a loss.
This won’t be the last time we see something like this. Bandwagon fans permeate all sports, and that’s okay, because they give diehard fans something to complain about — a necessary evil. There’s no honor among thieves, no loyalty among bandwagons, and no KD in Oklahoma City.
