Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters is seemingly really enjoying the Atlanta Falcons’ offense in the Super Bowl. So much so that he may or may not have thrown some serious shade at the Patriots and his own quarterback.
Chiefs CB Marcus Peters slams ‘dink and dunk’ offense
The Kansas City cornerback has some thoughts on how to play offense.

Peters tweeted this early in the third quarter, and fans will interpret it how they want, but it might be more of an adoration for a Falcons’ offense that is taking plenty of shots down the field than anything else.
Naturally, there’ll be plenty who interpret this as a shot at his own quarterback, Alex Smith. He’s has been an easy target for criticism throughout his career. As good as he’s been in KC, Smith still can’t shake the “game manager” title and Kansas City’s offense has been criticized for its own dink-and-dunk tendencies. And with the Chiefs losing at home in the Divisional Round this year, as Smith completed just 20 of 34 passes for 172 yards and one touchdown, it’s pretty easy to dig deeper into Peters’ tweet.
It’s hard to imagine Peters doesn’t get asked to clarify this sooner or later.
