- 2015: Bruins fire GM Peter Chiarelli on April 15 ... the same day Patriots player Aaron Hernandez is found guilty of murder. Newsdump of the year.
- 2017: Bruins fire franchise-best coach Claude Julien ... the morning of the Patriots’ Super Bowl parade.
