The Celtics are a terrific defensive team, but even they need a little help every now and then. Luckily, referee Bill Spooner was in the right place at the right time to stop Bojan Bogdanovic from shooting an open three.

The Wizards’ bench was livid, but there’s nothing they can do. The referee is part of the floor, which is why passes that rifle off officials are still considered in play.
Bogdanovic is shooting 45 percent on corner threes this year, so that was a nice save by Spooner. The Celtics should be relieved.
