The Greenville Drive, a Boston Red Sox minor-league affiliate, is offering an interesting giveaway for their June series against the Columbia Fireflies.

If Tim Tebow strikes out three times during the Drive’s series against the Fireflies, the whole crowd will get free Burger King Whoppers. Tebow, who had a rough spring training outing with the New York Mets, was recently sent to their minor-league affiliate the Columbia Fireflies. The two-time BCS national champion, Heisman Trophy winner, NCAA record holder for most passing and rushing touchdowns in a single season, and winner of an NFL playoff game will be lining up in the outfield for the Class A affiliate.

This is not the first time the Drive have come after Tebow on Twitter, responding to ESPN’s coverage on Tebow’s baseball “career” back in September.

Columbia bit back at Greenville, responding with a screenshot of their own tweet, implying the Drive might care a little too much about Tebow and his baseball adventures.

The real winners here are fans of the Greenville Drive. Not only do you have a chance at seeing an embattled former NFL quarterback and national champion play mediocre baseball this June, you also get free Burger King!
