Crosby’s trying his damnedest to end it. If not on the scoreboard, then on your highlight reels. Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins visited the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday, and Crosby was fired up for some reason.
Whatever goodwill he lost with that little play came right back when he scored the goal of the season minutes later.
Yes, your vision spheres saw that correctly: Crosby walked through the defense alone and beat the goalie with a backhand, top-shelf shot ... with one hand.
Even the Buffalo Sabres home crowd stood and applauded that one. As they should. He’s the best for reasons like that.
