The ESPN-broadcasted Hawks-Wizards game on Wednesday marked Adam Schefter’s second appearance as an NBA sideline reporter, which offers a change of pace from his usual duties as the top news breaking reporter covering the NFL.
Adam Schefter tweeted NBA news and Twitter wasn’t having it
Schefter is working his second game as an NBA sideline reporter on the ESPN broadcast.

When Schefter re-signed on a five-year contract with ESPN, this was a perk that was added to his job description. While Schefter’s duties as an NFL reporter take up most of his year, the deadest months of his sport come during the meat of the NBA season. Since he has become a diehard basketball fan, Schefter described this assignment as “100 percent fun” for him.
Still, when Schefter showed up on the ESPN broadcast on Wednesday, it alarmed many Twitter users.
And when Schefter tweeted a fact about Paul Millsap’s contract, Twitter damn near had an uprising. Here’s the tweet.
And here is a look at the replies.
The other theme in his mentions was Twitter users calling him Woj — or Adrian Wojnarowski at The Vertical — who is the Adam Schefter of the NBA.
Schefter had to know this would happen, given his tweets have been nearly 100 percent about the NFL up to this point. And hey, some of those replies were hilarious, so I think the conclusion here is that we’re all winners.
