Devin Booker dropped 70 points on Friday — joining five other players to do that in NBA history. Yes, this man Devin Booker is absurd.
Devin Booker got to celebrate his 70-point performance with his dad thanks to Suns TV
This is so great.

Before the game, the Suns broadcast crew had connected Booker’s dad, former NBA player Melvin Booker, onto the television broadcast. Little did they know that during the game, Melvin’s son was going to make history.
After they did, they had to reconnect the two right away for an amazing moment.
Devin Booker: “Man, just both of my parents. My father and my mother. I wouldn’t be here in this situation without them. So I appreciate everything you’ve done for me pops. I appreciate everything you’ve done for me mom. And you know, it’s not finished yet. And I was saying the whole game, I wish it had come with a win, so that’s my next thing: start winning. But playing a really good team, a playoff team like the Boston Celtics, it’s tough.”
...
Melvin Booker: “I’m speechless right now. Like I said, when I see him now, it’s like watching that kid all over again. Talk about how his dream was to play in the NBA and to see him make it there, let alone having his best there right now, it’s an amazing thing to see. I know him, he’s going to keep working hard. Like you said, he wants to go ahead and win. He’s going to put in the work to make this franchise better.
That’s so cool. And look at Booker’s smile.
What a great moment after Booker did something that will forever be remembered in the history books.
