The New England Patriots completed the greatest comeback in NFL history with their 34-28 overtime victory over the Falcons in Super Bowl LI. It was the fifth Super Bowl for Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, who could have had seven titles if it hadn’t been for one team: the New York Giants.
Robert Kraft told Steve Tisch that Giants would have beaten Patriots in Super Bowl 51
The Giants have been the one team to provide blemishes on the Patriots’ Super Bowl resume.

Luckily for the Patriots, they didn’t face the Giants this past February. If they had, Patriots owner Robert Kraft thinks the Giants would have won again, at least according to Giants co-owner Steve Tisch.
Tisch said via SNY, “Would I have liked to end up Houston? Absolutely. Especially because Bob Kraft, after the Super Bowl, told me ‘You would’ve beat us.’ So that was a nice compliment.”
Tisch didn’t shy away about his thoughts, either. “When I heard that,” he said, “I agreed with him.”
The Giants were a wild card team both times they upset the Patriots in the Super Bowl, though they didn’t make it past the Wild Card Round this year after running into a red-hot Packers team.
In Super Bowl XLII, the Patriots came in with an 18-0 record, looking to become the first undefeated champion since the 1972 Miami Dolphins and the first to win 19 games. It was a close game that was highlighted by arguably the best catch in Super Bowl history, David Tyree’s helmet grab.
In Super Bowl XLVI, the Giants relied on some more great plays, particularly Mario Manningham’s catch on the sideline that led to the eventual game-winning score by Ahmad Bradshaw.
There’s no telling whether the Giants would actually have beaten the Patriots again, but history is certainly in their favor.
