Former Packers defensive back Micah Hyde has agreed to sign with the Buffalo Bills, the team announced on Thursday. The Packers’ versatile DB moves on from Green Bay after an impressive 2016 campaign.

Hyde spent majority of his time in Green Bay lined up as a corner back, but spent much of 2016 shifting around a secondary that was thinned out by injuries. He matched his career high of three interceptions in 2016, and grabbed a crucial interception during the Packers’ matchup against the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC divisional round.

He was never a regular starter for the Packers, only starting more then 10 games in a season twice in his four years. He only missed one game in his time with the team, though, and he was a reliable option at any position in the secondary.

Hyde will help replace Stephon Gilmore who recently left to sign a huge deal with the New England Patriots. The Bills are hoping he will build off of his impressive play over the past few years, and step into the starting role with ease, as they hope to challenge the New England Patriots in the AFC East this season.
