The Memphis Grizzlies tweeted the design of a new T-shirt after head coach David Fizdale lit into the officiating crew after a slew of no-calls contributed to a 96-82 Game 2 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Monday.
The Grizzlies teased ‘Take that for data’ shirts after David Fizdale’s officiating rant
The team tweeted a shirt reading “Take that for data” after Fizdale blasted the referees for several missed calls.

The Spurs attempted 17 more free throws than the Grizzlies in Game 2 with Kawhi Leonard taking more foul shots (19) than Memphis as a whole (15).
Fizdale, set to absorb a hefty fine for his postgame comments, verbally flattened the referees after the game. He called the officials’ behavior “unprofessional” and said they had no respect for the seventh-seeded Grizzlies.
“I know Pop’s got pedigree, and I’m a young rookie. But they’re not gonna rook us,” Fizdale said. “That’s unacceptable. That was unprofessional. Our guys dug in that game and earned the right to be in that game. And they did not even give us a chance.”
He then stormed off from the press conference, slamming his pen into the table after yelling: “Take that for data!”
And now, it appears a shirt could be born.
