On Wednesday, the FBI reunited Von Miller with the helmet he wore in the Denver Broncos’ 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. It comes just two weeks after Tom Brady’s missing jersey from Super Bowl LI was returned to him.
Von Miller’s Super Bowl 50 helmet returned thanks to the FBI
Another missing piece of Super Bowl gear makes it was back to its rightful owner.

The FBI investigation was initiated after Brady’s jersey went missing following the Patriots’ comeback against the Falcons in Houston. Not only did they find Brady’s jersey from this year’s Super Bowl, they retrieved Brady’s Super Bowl XLIX jersey from 2015. Miller’s helmet from Super Bowl 50 was also found, all at the home of a credentialed journalist in Mexico.
Miller, who won Super Bowl MVP honors for his performance, looked happy to have received his historic helmet back into his hands:
The funny part about Miller’s helmet being missing, is that he wasn’t even aware it was gone.
“I didn’t even know my helmet was missing. That’s how crazy last year was,” Miller said last week. “But we had the best of the best, the finest investigators on the whole ordeal. … They were able to find Tom’s jersey, and they were able to find my helmet, as well. Hats off to those guys.”
For somebody’s life to be so busy and filled with other wonderful things happening, like attending the NBA All-Star festivities, being on Saturday Night Live and Dancing With the Stars, and hanging out with Drake, it must be nice to just forget about the helmet you wore in a Super Bowl.
We all should try to live life like Von Miller.
