Former Oklahoma running back and NFL draft prospect Joe Mixon reached a civil settlement agreement Friday with the woman he punched back in 2014.

Amelia Molitor accused Mixon of intentional infliction of emotional distress in the civil case. Before the civil suit, she sued Mixon for negligence and willful and wanton misconduct, claims that were dismissed in November 2016.

Terms of the settlement were not released, but the two sides released a joint statement:

In July 2014, Mixon punched Molitor at a sandwich shop, breaking four of her bones. Police began their investigation three days after the incident, and charged Mixon with misdemeanor assault on Aug. 15. As a result, Mixon was suspended for the entire 2014 season by the Sooners.

On Oct. 30, Mixon reached an Alford plea deal, allowing him to maintain innocence while admitting that the prosecution had enough evidence to convict him.

In November 2014, the city of Norman decided not to release the video, which would later come out after the Oklahoma Supreme Court ruled that it must be released for public viewing.

Despite the incident, Mixon’s name will still be called during the 2017 NFL draft, with teams considering him a top talent at running back.
