The Wizards were down 20 points to the Atlanta Hawks when John Wall came alive.
John Wall went coast-to-coast and behind the back before flushing it on Kent Bazemore’s face
Wall is ridiculously fast.
He had little help from his teammates in the first quarter of Washington’s Game 3 showdown against Atlanta, but he woke them up with a vicious coast-to-coast sequence that left Kent Bazemore’s ego in shambles.
Wall snagged a rebound and turned the jets on to go coast-to-coast. He then lost Dennis Schroder with a nifty behind the back move before taking off at the dotted line and obliterating Bazemore with a nasty, left-handed tomahawk dunk.
The poster was part of Wall’s 14-point first quarter, but the Wizards allowed the Hawks to pour on 38 points in the period. Atlanta took a 38-20 lead into the second quarter in an attempt to claw back from a 2-0 series deficit.
They’re doing a good job of keeping the Wizards at bay here in the second, so we’ll see if the Hawks can maintain this level of play for the rest of the game.
