Warriors erase 16-point deficit in 4 minutes against Trail Blazers

The Warriors were down 82-66 with 6:20 remaining in the quarter, but the Warriors went on a swift and efficient 19-1 run thanks to sharpshooting from Klay Thompson (3-3 from three) and some unbelievable dunks by JaVale McGee and Andre Iguodala:

Yes, Mike Conley was absolutely fantastic for the Grizzlies on Saturday. And yes, Marc Gasol hit the game winner to beat the Spurs. But the real game winning moment was Andrew Harrison’s chasedown block on Patty Mills.
The Spurs were up 102-100 with with 1:36 to go in overtime. With this Tony Parker steal and pass to Patty Mills, the Spurs were about to go up four points late with all of the momentum. But Andrew Harrison had other plans. This blocked shot led to a Marc Gasol basket that instead tied the game. If the Spurs go up four late on this play, the game was trending toward San Antonio. If they win, they head back to San Antonio up 3-1 which makes it extremely tough for the Grizzlies to survive. Gasol would go on to hit a game-winner and now the series is tied 2-2 heading back to San Antonio.

LaMarcus Aldridge isn’t a high-flyer by any means. But in the third quarter of the San Antonio Spurs’ Game 3 showdown against the Memphis Grizzlies, the skilled power forward sure looked like one.
In a rare instance, Aldridge brought the ball up court before throwing down a vicious, one-handed tomahawk all over JaMychal Green’s face. The poster dunk was part of a Spurs’ rally that tied the game at 64.

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY SportsKevin Durant is still questionable to play in Game 3 against the Golden State Warriors, but that might be the only thing that could hold this series from being a sweep. Golden State won Game 1 by 12 points — despite two sensational showings from Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum — before crushing the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 2 to a score of 110-81. Though Game 3 is shifting back to Portland for Game 3, it’s hard to see what the Trail Blazers can really do to make this more competitive.
The one obvious “card” they can play is Jusuf Nurkic, who may finally be available after an injury kept him out of the opening two matchups. Nurkic gives Portland a real center, which will help the makeshift lineups involving Al-Farouq Aminu and Noah Vonleh they’ve been throwing out there.

He had little help from his teammates in the first quarter of Washington’s Game 3 showdown against Atlanta, but he woke them up with a vicious coast-to-coast sequence that left Kent Bazemore’s ego in shambles.
