Heisman Trophy finalist Jabrill Peppers will enter the NFL in the league’s substance abuse program after his urine sample at the NFL Combine was reported as diluted, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Jabrill Peppers tested positive for a diluted sample at the NFL Combine
Peppers had a diluted sample, just as Reuben Foster did.

Since Peppers failed the test as a professional, he’ll have periodic and random drug tests.
A spokesman for the agency that represents Peppers, CAA, released a statement via Adam Schefter, saying that Peppers was sick after flying to Indianapolis from San Diego.
“Peppers was being pumped with fluids,” the statement read, “drinking 8-10 bottles of water before he went to bed, because he was the first guy to work out two days for the LBs and DBs.”
The spokesman’s statement continued, “He had to go through that first day, come back on second day, and that was the fear. So Peppers was pounding water and under the weather. He never failed a drug test in his life, nor tested positive before for any substance,” the statement concluded.
Peppers’ 4.46 40-yard dash time was the best among linebackers, and fifth-best among safeties. His 19 bench press reps were also second-best among safeties at the combine, with his 10’8 broad jump the highest among linebackers, and fourth among safeties.
SB Nation’s Dan Kadar has Peppers listed as the third-best safety available in the draft behind LSU’s Jamal Adams and Ohio State’s Malik Hooker. Kadar did not have Peppers going in the first round of his latest mock draft.
