The NFL draft was held in Philadelphia this year, and there were plenty of Eagles fans in attendance. That gave the people chosen to announce the Cowboys’ draft picks an opportunity to troll their rival fans, and the Eagles’ presenters responded by heckling Cowboys fans right back.
Eagles-Cowboys rivalry doesn’t chill, even for the NFL Draft
This rivalry is heating up at the draft.

On Friday, legendary Cowboys receiver Drew Pearson took every opportunity to taunt Eagles fans while announcing the team’s second-round selection of cornerback Chidobe Awuzie.
Pearson did so on behalf of every single player in Cowboys history, as well as the Jones family and Jason Garrett. He kindly reminded Eagles fans that the Cowboys have won five championships. While we can’t be certain he flashed his own Super Bowl XII ring at the crowd as he left the podium, we’re pretty sure that’s what it was.
Not to be outdone, former Eagles running back Brian Westbrook kicked off the festivities on Saturday with a message for the Cowboys.
“If anybody from Dallas steps to this doggone podium in my city, in my town, we’re going to give them a true Philadelphia welcome,” Westbrook said.
It didn’t stop there. Former Eagles great Brian Dawkins took the podium and got the Eagles faithful all riled up with a fiery speech, imploring them to “let all the haters hate.”
Those “haters” Dawkins referenced presumably include Cowboys fans.
Dawkins led the crowd in singing the Eagles’ fight song, “Fly Eagles Fly,” for what seemed like the millionth time in the past three days.
The rivalry between the Eagles and Cowboys is a fierce one, and it’s on full display at the draft in Philadelphia.
