The San Francisco 49ers announced the release of cornerback Tramaine Brock on Friday afternoon after he was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.

Brock was arrested on Thursday night after Santa Clara police were called at 9:35 p.m. for a report of domestic violence, according to the Santa Clara County Police Department. Police found an injured woman who was reportedly dating Brock.
Lt. Dan Moreno said the victim suffered minor injuries and didn’t require medical attention. Brock was released from Santa Clara County jail after posting $50,000 bail, according to the Mercury News.
“I really got nothing to say about it,” Brock said to ABC7 while leaving the jail. He repeated himself when asked again, “No, not too much to say about it.”
Brock played in all 16 games for the 49ers last season, and had one interception. He’s been with the 49ers since 2010, after being undrafted out of Belhaven. He was set to make $3.1 million this season in what was the final year of his contract.
