Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones apologizes after accepting plea deal for January arrest
Jones apologized to the arresting officers in court.

Jones was charged with misdemeanor assault, disorderly conduct, and obstructing official business. He was also charged with one felony for harassment with a bodily substance, but that charge was dropped in March. Jones plead guilty to the obstructing official business charge, and the other two misdemeanor charges were dropped.
While in court, Jones apologized to the arresting officers.
The Hamilton County prosecutor, Joe Deters, had said in late January that he wanted to know what Jones’ punishment with the NFL would be first, but opted to move ahead without any determination from the NFL.
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis and owner Mike Brown have expressed their support for Jones, and he remains on Cincinnati’s roster.
It wasn’t Jones’ first run in with the law. He was arrested in 2005 with a misdemeanor assault and a felony vandalism charge. He would later violate his probation from that charge. He was arrested and charged in 2011 with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. In 2013, he was arrested for assault, but was found not guilty on that charge.
He signed a three-year contract with Cincinnati prior to the 2016 season, and played in all 16 games for the Bengals this past season.
