Preakness 2017: Post position draw live stream
The post draw isn’t on TV but you can still watch.

The post position draw for the 2017 Preakness Stakes is set for 5 p.m. ET Wednesday, with a likely field of 10 contenders learning their starting gates in the 1-3/16-mile second jewel of the Triple Crown. The post position draw and morning line announcement will not be televised. However you will be able to stream it at the Preakness’ Facebook page.
The field looks pretty strong, with Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming facing Derby morning line favorite Classic Empire, along with a few other entrants from the Run to the Roses. However, one horse has had to pull out of contention: Royal Mo suffered an ankle injury while being worked out on Sunday and will retire from racing.
The 142nd running of the Preakness will be televised by NBC with pre-race coverage beginning at 5 p.m. Post time is set for approximately 6:45 p.m.
Always Dreaming will enter the race as the heavy favorite, as so often happens with the Kentucky Derby winner. He is currently better than even money according to the latest Preakness odds at OddsShark.com. Always Dreaming is sitting at -110 (or 10/11), meaning you have to bet $110 to win $100. Classic Empire sits behind him at -400, or a $100 bet paying $400. That’s 4/1 odds. Looking at Lee (11/1), Gunnevera (11/1), and Hence (12/1) follow.
