A big week at Pimlico Race Course picks up steam on Friday with the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes, one of the top filly races of the year. This 1-1/8 mile race has a winning purse of $250,000 and features 3-year-old fillies looking to pick up a signature win one day before the Preakness Stakes.

The Black-Eyed Susan race starts at 5 p.m. ET with television coverage on NBCSN. Viewers can also stream it online at NBC Sports.

The Preakness Stakes gets all the attention this week as one of the legs of the thoroughbred Triple Crown, but the fillies also get a chance to shine in the spotlight. The Black-Eyed Susan Stakes joins the Kentucky Oaks and Acorn Stakes as the three biggest filly races of the year.

Eleven fillies will fill out the field in this year’s Black-Eyed Susan. Abel Tasman won the Kentucky Oaks, but will not be competing in this race. Moana is the current favorite at 4-1, according to Horse Racing Nation, and will start from the No. 7 post. Summer Luck is right behind at 5-1 and is racing at the No. 9 post. Other top betting favorites include Shimmering Aspen (9-2), Tapa Tapa Tapa (8-1), Dancing Rags (8-1), and Lights of Medina (8-1).
