Ezekiel Elliott just can’t stop getting in car crashes

The Cowboys are holding Ezekiel Elliott out of practice after he hit his head in yet another car accident.

Ezekiel Elliott missed a second OTA practice Wednesday after he was the passenger in a car accident Sunday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Dallas Cowboys running back reportedly didn’t suffer any significant injuries, but the team is understandably being cautious with the All-Pro and keeping him out of practices.

According to Rob Phillips of DallasCowboys.com, Elliott hit his head during the accident. After practice Wednesday, Cowboys coach Jason Garrett told reporters that Elliott was feeling body and neck stiffness, but will return to practice next week.

Elliott, 21, has had some remarkably bad luck with cars and was involved in a fender bender just a few months ago before the Cowboys’ playoff matchup with the Green Bay Packers. Four days after the accident, Elliott rushed for 125 yards in a losing effort against the Packers.

But Elliott’s bad history with cars goes back even further than 2017. While at Ohio State, the running back was in a single-car wreck just days before rushing for 149 yards and four touchdowns against Notre Dame in the 2016 Fiesta Bowl.

His mom even tweeted that he’s been bouncing back from car crashes to play football since he was a kid:

Just judging by Elliott’s history with car accidents and the reports of his minor injuries, the running back is probably fine to return to practice. But it’s May and there’s really no point of that.

It might be time for Elliott to consider public transportation, though. Maybe a bus pass, Zeke?
