DeMar DeRozan has an offer for anyone who thinks they can stop the world’s best basketball player on a quest to repeat as NBA champion.

”If you can find somebody to stop [LeBron James] in these moments, I’ll give you $100,” DeRozan said, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.
James destroyed the Indiana Pacers in the first round and is pummeling the Toronto Raptors in the second. He’s averaging 34 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and almost three steals per game in the playoffs, fresh off a 39-point performance on just 14 shots against the Raptors in Game 2.
The Raptors revamped their wing rotation specifically to compete with James in the playoffs. They signed DeMarre Carroll, a physical defender with the “junkyard dog” tag, two summers ago. He got bullied by James in the playoffs last season.
The Raptors went ahead and added another physical defender in P.J. Tucker at the trade deadline this season. That hasn’t worked either.
The Cavaliers, on the other hand, have had DeRozan’s number. In Game 2, he only scored one point in the first three quarters and finished with five points on 2-of-11 shooting. He shouldn’t feel bad. Few teams have been able to stop The King when he’s on a mission.
As for DeRozan’s bet, good luck. Only a few teams out West have had success stopping James, who is on pace to make his seventh straight NBA Finals appearance.
Who knows, maybe Kevin Durant or Draymond Green can use an extra hundred bucks.
