Ezekiel Elliott hits clutch home run, then reenacts Salvation Army bucket jump at Cowboys’ charity event

Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott teamed up off the field, while Jason Garrett showed his skills with the bat.

On Monday, the Dallas Cowboys held their Sixth Annual Reliant Home Run Derby, with proceeds from the event going to the Salvation Army. It featured some of the most recognizable faces not just on the Cowboys, but in the NFL, like Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, Jason Witten, and Dez Bryant.

It’s not often we get to see the NFL’s leading rusher crank out some dingers. Elliott’s first at-bat was laughably bad, as Clarence Hill Jr. indicated.

But when the money ball pitch was thrown, Elliott sent it straight out of the park for $1,000.

He even reenacted his famous Salvation Army kettle jump that he did in December against the Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett came out on top in the Home Run Derby, earning $4,900, squeaking past Jason Witten who had $4,800. Overall, the Home Run Derby raised $50,000.

So you’re probably wondering where Dez Bryant is in all of this too. He was there — just not on time. Apparently he showed up to the wrong field.

There was also a three-legged race, which seems like fun but also very risky when pairing your franchise quarterback and running back together. The costumes fit two people, with their right and left legs tucked in one boot.

But of course, it ended well. Dak and Zeke lost to Jeff Heath and Byron Jones in the race:

Dak and Zeke had good chemistry on and off the field this season, but when it comes to the three-legged race, they could definitely use some work.

The Cowboys were one of the more fun and loose teams in the NFL last season, and they’re carrying that into the offseason as well.
