The Solid Verbal: Our college football summer crushes
It’s never too early for football love.
With preview magazines hitting shelves and conference media days just around the corner, it’s time to start focusing, in earnest, on the 2017 college football season. We interpret this need to focus on zeroing in on who and what we’ve developed crushes on, as it relates to the upcoming season.
These crushes may or may not include:
• A growing appreciation for Army and Navy, and just how feared they’ve become
• Saquon Barkley, Mike Gesicki, and pretty much every Penn State player on the 2017 roster (you’ll never believe which host is smitten)
• A Mountain West receiver coming off of an enormous November 2016
• A certain Florida State defensive player that was on the crush list last year. There was no courtesy heads-up before announcing his name again as a crush. Unacceptable.
• A group of NC State players that are better than just about every other team’s same position group. Yes, that is correct.
