The offseason in the NBA is full of chaos simply because it’s free agency season. As the Golden State Warriors continue to pull further away from the rest of the NBA, the league continues to try and catch up. That means players will join together quicker than ever during free agency, but it also means teams will make unthinkable trades as well.
NBA trades 2017: Every trade made during and before free agency
Keep track of every trade that goes down during the summer of 2017

Just look at Chris Paul and the Houston Rockets. The Rockets pulled off the great heist of 2017 to get Paul in the backcourt with James Harden as they try and climb to the top of the Western Conference, or at least into the same atmosphere as the Warriors. And the Rockets? They aren’t done yet. They still want to try and grab Paul George or Carmelo Anthony this summer to solidify their own Big 3. Yes, free agency is king in the summer but the trades, either big or small, provide just as much drama.
