Kyrie Irving torched the Warriors for a pair of spectacular layups in the 3rd quarter

Kyrie is looking like a magician.

Kyrie Irving is doing that thing where he plays out of his mind. In the third quarter of Game 3, the Cavaliers put together their best quarter of the NBA Finals, and much of that was thanks to Irving.

First, Irving took this great pass from Richard Jefferson as he cut to the basket, making a well-contested layup against the taller Shaun Livingston.

Then, Irving took on four Warriors at once, and was somehow able to finish at the rim. It caused Quicken Loans Arena to erupt louder than it had all evening.

Through three quarters, Irving had 33 points. None of those points came from beyond the arc, which makes his performance even more impressive.

This is exactly what we’ve been wanting to see from Irving, and it’s been absolutely fun. His finishing at the rim is the equivalent of somebody keeping every promise they ever made — right now you can count on it like no other.
