LeBron James really threw the ball off the backboard to himself in the NBA Finals

That’s some ‘NBA Street’ stuff.

The Cavaliers continued their onslaught of the Warriors early in the third quarter — which reached peak excitement after a booming dunk by LeBron James.

James came down the floor on a fast break, and left his feet a little too early thinking Klay Thompson was going to try to make a play on the basketball.

He then proceeded to toss the ball off the backboard, and threw it down viciously.

Afterwards, James described his thought process simply: he had no other choice.

James and the Cavaliers played one heck of a first half. Their shot chart was so green it looked like your front lawn (hopefully), and they even got away with a call or two.

There were plenty of great plays in this game, but this one is the type to make you need to hold somebody.

Even J.R. Smith couldn’t believe it. He called James a “Gatorade baby.”

I don’t know if LeBron James is a “Gatorade baby” but he’s something.
