With yet another night of NBA Summer League action in the books, it’s understandable to have some viewer’s fatigue. After all, you’ve seen Lonzo Ball drop a triple double, Jaylen Brown posterize defenders and rookies like De’Aaron Fox and Dennis Smith Jr. show why they were drafted where they were.

But offseason hoops rages on on Monday with another eight-game slate that will keep you satiated at least until preseason basketball rears around in October. Ball and Fox renew a college basketball rivalry when the Lakers and Kings face-off in a late-night showdown. Phoenix’s young core showcases its talents in the evening, and Brooklyn’s cast of talented youngsters compete against one another for limited roster spots yet again.

Monday night’s slew of basketball games will leave the diehard fans wanting more. Here’s what to expect to kick the week off.

2 Games to Watch

Rockets vs. Suns — 6:30 p.m.

This midday matchup is less about powerhouse Houston and more so about Phoenix, who’s building for the future with its young core. Josh Jackson’s performed in the Summer League, as have Marquese Chriss and Dragan Bender. The Suns’ future will be on full display Monday night as they try to pick up another win in Summer League play.

Lakers vs. Kings — 10:30 p.m.

De’Aaron Fox locked Lonzo Ball up in the NCAA Tournament, holding the No. 2 overall pick to just 10 points on 40-percent shooting while scoring 39 points (13-of-20 FG) of his own. Now, Ball gets a chance at redemption after his UCLA Bruins were eliminated by Fox’s Kentucky Wildcats in the Sweet 16 last season.

Ball is coming off of a triple double, something he never accomplished during his only college basketball season. NBA fans get a chance to see if the selfless floor general can put on an encore performance against the rookie prospect who said he wanted to shut LaVar Ball up.
