Aaron Judge hit a ball off the dang roof before the Home Run Derby even started
THE ROOF. THE FREAKIN’ ROOF

The year of Aaron Judge continues.
From launching a 495-foot home run earlier this season to having his own seating section named after him in Yankee Stadium (A+ pun by the way), Judge has already had a pretty historic season.
Here’s an infographic that can sum it up better than I can.
Boom.
Before the Home Run Derby even began, Judge decided to put on a show by hitting a ball off of the roof.
Yes, THE ROOF.
Dear Sport Science,
I need an episode on this immediately. I’ll even write the script and you can fill in the blanks when you do the research.
Aaron Judge swung his bat at the velocity of ________ MPH. That’s the same speed as ________________ (random wild animal’s top speed). That speed was able to let him connect the bat to the ball with a force of ____________ (measure of force). That’s enough force to ____________ (some astounding stat that applies to force).
I’ve done most of the dirty work. No need to thank me.
Sincerely,
Kofie Yeboah.
UPDATE: He also hit the roof during the Home Run Derby
