In case you were worried Aaron Judge wasn’t really the slugger everyone says he is, look no further than his first round at the Home Run Derby. Specifically, the part where ONE OF HIS HITS CRASHED INTO THE ROOF.
Aaron Judge hit a ball to the roof in his incredible 1st round at the Home Run Derby
BOOM!

Boom. Now that’s a moonshot — meaning that if the roof wasn’t there, it might have actually hit the moon.
But here’s the catch — that hit didn’t even count. It clearly would have been a home run, but to keep things fair, the stadium decided to play some defense. Judge faced off against Miami Marlins first baseman Justin Bour, who put up an impressive 22 home runs in the first round. But that was nothing for Judge, who casually knocked 23 out of the park ... not even counting his roof-destroying shot. In fact, Judge knocked them out of the park in every possible direction:
Judge also hit some of the longest home runs of the competition, including a blast that traveled FIVE HUNDRED AND ONE FEET. That’s roughly the length of 76 Aaron Judges! And he’s a big guy.
The Home Run Derby is just the cap on Judge’s already amazing season, but at the end of the day, one thing’s for sure — the man can hit a baseball really, really far.
