Tim Tebow’s promotion in the New York Mets organization at the end of June was odd considering he was really struggling. But he’s since caught fire for the Class A St. Lucie Mets with hits in 11 consecutive games, including a walk-off home run Thursday night.
Tim Tebow’s current baseball hitting streak is longer than his best ever NFL passing streak
Tim Tebow never completed 11 straight passes in the NFL, but he’s on an 11-game hitting streak.

It’s a big statistical turnaround for Tebow and one that never happened during his NFL career.
During his brief career — which included two seasons with the Denver Broncos followed by stints with the Jets, Patriots and Eagles — Tebow completed 47.9 percent of his passes with 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
In fact, his current baseball streak is better than any run of passes he had over his 35 games in the NFL.
Tebow’s baseball career still has a lot of hurdles to cross before he’s playing for the Mets at Citi Field, but for now, it’s showing more life than his football career did and he didn’t even have to throw knuckleballs to get going.
