The unofficial Venn Diagram of Tom Brady and Guy Fieri’s diets

Hello, sports fans. Charlotte Wilder and Jessica Smetana, here, two SB Nation #content creators who spend way too much time thinking about Guy Fieri. There normally isn’t a ton of overlap between Guy Fieri and sports (other than the fact that Guy himself might actually be sports — we have to run the numbers on that), but today he broke the news that his friend Marcel Reece is reporting to Seahawks camp.

Our colleague Ryan Nanni, who was thinking about Guy Fieri and football thanks to Guy Fieri’s tweet, tweeted this in response:

And then Jess was like — wait, we should blog this, given that both of us are invested in Guy Fieri, food, and sports. In fact, those might be our three favorite things.

So here are our thoughts.

Himalayan pink salt

Look, we’re not saying Guy hasn’t eaten Himalayan pink salt, or won’t eat Himalayan pink salt, but the only salt Tom Brady eats is Himalayan pink salt. We just can’t see a world in which Guy forgoes your typical Morton’s for only Himalayan pink salt, so we’re going to put this in the Tom Only category.

Quinoa

According to Google, Guy Fieri has recipes for quinoa, but we still don’t buy that he actually eats it. Fake news.

Coconut oil

You think Guy Fieri is going to use some pansy-ass coconut oil to fry shit up when he could use butter? Take a hike.

Beans

Tom Brady, as far as we can tell, eats basically only lentils and does shots of wheatgrass (not a bean) if he’s feeling frisky. Guy Fieri definitely eats lentils, and all beans, but his beans are probably usually doused in barbecue sauce. Whatever, still counts.

Lettuce (by accident)

Tom Brady eats lettuce, for sure. He probably eats it on purpose. As in, like, a salad. Guy Fieri seems most likely to eat lettuce on a burger by accident. Still — a leaf is a leaf.

Tomatoes

Tom Brady usually doesn’t eat tomatoes, but his chef says that they “trickle in occasionally.” Guy Fieri definitely eats tomatoes, probably mostly as ketchup.

Lean meats and salmon

Sometimes Brady eats meat if it’s lean or fish if it’s salmon. Guy Fieri lives in a meat house, sleeps in a meat bed, and brushes his teeth with hot dogs. So yes, this is an area of overlap. Just not when it comes to the fatty stuff.

Literally any other food in the entire world

Eggs

Guy Fieri apparently hates eggs. Tom Brady may occasionally eat eggs, but his meal kit with Purple Carrot says NO EGGS, so we’re going to say that both of these dudes mostly don’t eat eggs. Some common ground!

There’s a chance we missed some stuff here, but then again, there’s a chance this is the most comprehensive Venn Diagram of Tom Brady and Guy Fieri’s diets you’ll ever need.
