Joost Luiten was not having a very nice day at Quail Hollow. Not until he reached the par-3 fourth hole, anyway, where he recorded the 40th hole-in-one since 1970 at the PGA Championship:

Luiten started on the back nine, and a triple-bogey on the 16th hole was not the start he was looking for on The Green Mile. That put him at 5-over, and bogeys on the second and third hole put him all the way up to 7-over.

Using a 6-iron on the 181 fourth hole, Luiten changed things for the better. His shot bounced once off the green and straight into the hole.

He remains tied for 110th, however, at 5-under.
