Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather are both phenomenal athletes, but that’s where the similarities end. However, they have one other thing in common: Both fighters are in a new music video for The Killers’ single, “The Man.”
Mayweather vs. McGregor: The Killers’ new music video hypes the big fight
The Killers have a new song named “The Man,” and used it to get ready for the big bout on Aug. 26.

The video, which was released by Showtime Sports, only lasts for a minute and 52 seconds. The Killers decided to add short clips of Mayweather and McGregor training, fighting, and flaunting their wealth to footage of them rocking out in a boxing ring. It’s just another way to add more flair to the Aug. 26 bout.
Brandon Flowers, The Killers’ lead singer, is a boxing fan and said it would be a dream come true to create a song that helps promote this megafight. Flowers said in a release (via Rolling Stone):
“I think there’s a symbiotic relationship between using a song like ours and Las Vegas and a boxing arena,” Flowers said. “Business of boxing. It seemed to make sense. ‘Oh, you want to use our song?’ We want to be in a ring, too. You know what I mean.”
You can watch the video on YouTube. If you are not excited about the fight, watching this video could cure that.
The band’s new album, “Wonderful Wonderful,” is set to be released Sept. 22.
