Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather will soon step into the ring for a boxing match worth hundreds of millions of dollars. McGregor sat for a pre-fight interview in his training room with Showtime’s Jim Gray, and he said a few interesting things.
Conor McGregor says he’ll ‘outclass’ Floyd Mayweather and ‘put him to sleep’
He made the comments about an hour before the fight.

“I’m gonna go out and be myself: free, spontaneous, creative, and paint a beautiful picture.”
McGregor says he doesn’t plan to deviate from his usual style in the UFC octagon, which is free-flowing and fun-loving. What’s that picture look like? Gray asked him.
“I see me truly outclassing this man and putting him to sleep.”
McGregor’s been saying for weeks that he’ll knock out Mayweather. He reiterated that claim about an hour before actually getting into the ring.
McGregor’s timeline on when he’ll knock out Mayweather has been hazier. At one point, he said it’d be within four rounds. But at other points, he’s suggested it’d be nearly immediate. Gray tried to pin him down on his timeline there.
“I still feel that inside one, I will have the choice to let him out of there. But I may stretch it for a little bit longer.”
My prediction: Mayweather’s going to win this fight, and McGregor’s going to look silly. But he’ll make enough money that looking silly won’t be any big thing.
