Veteran forward Boris Diaw is heading back home.
Boris Diaw signs with French team instead of returning to NBA
Diaw’s deal could be the end of a long NBA career.

Diaw has signed with France’s Levallois Metropolitans (formerly Paris-Levallois), according to French sports reporter David Cozette, via Sportando. The signing marks the end of his long, fun-filled NBA career.
Why this matters
Diaw endeared himself to multiple fan bases as a Swiss army knife at the power forward spot. He played for the Hawks, Suns, Bobcats, and Spurs before finishing his career last season by guiding a young Utah Jazz team to its first playoff appearance since the Jerry Sloan-Deron Williams era.
Diaw, a versatile point forward who can shoot, dribble, and make plays for his teammates, won an NBA championship in San Antonio when the Spurs defeated LeBron James and the Miami Heat in 2014. In his best season, he averaged 15 points, six rebounds, and five assists for Charlotte in 2009.
Diaw won the 2006 NBA Most Improved Player of the Year award.
