Young phenom Luka Doncic injures ankle in EuroBasket final

This could be bad.

With 4:44 left in the third quarter of Slovenia’s EuroBasket 2017 Final against Serbia, 18-year-old Luka Doncic was helped off the floor after rolling his ankle battling for a rebound.

The severity of Doncic’s injury is unclear, but he was unable to put weight on his left foot. It appears to be a sprained left ankle. This could potentially be bad news for the Slovenian guard projected as a top-five pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

We will update this story as more details become available.
