Los Angeles and Minnesota, once again, will go toe-to-toe in the WNBA Finals.

The 2016 WNBA Finals went to Game 5, and Los Angeles won because of Nneka Ogwumike’s late-game heroics.
Minnesota will host Game 1 at the Williams Arena in Minneapolis.
The Lynx swept the Washington Mystics in the semifinals with ease. Guard Seimone Augustus went on a scoring tear, averaging 19 points and shooting 63.4 percent from the field in three games in the series. The team as a whole made 53.3 percent of its shots.
Like Minnesota, the Sparks didn’t run into any trouble in the semifinals, sweeping the Phoenix Mercury. Forward Candace Parker averaged 20 points, and Los Angeles connected on 47.4 percent of its shots during the series.
Both Los Angeles and Minnesota are stout on defense. Phoenix only connected on 44.2 percent of its shots against the Sparks in the semifinals, and Washington knocked down 42.5 percent of its attempts against the Lynx in the semifinals. Just like last year, this series could come down to Game 5.
