Russell Westbrook made this reporter so nervous he skipped his question

‘I’m so nervous. Let me come back.’

Russell Westbrook is a domineering presence. He’s one of the most dynamic athletes the NBA has ever seen, gets from end to end in a blink of an eye and just averaged a triple-double. He was the league’s MVP for a reason.

The gravity of Westbrook’s personality is strong, even from afar — and that can be intimidating. But it gets to be on an entirely different level when Westbrook has a reporter shook just from a mere glance. The poor guy couldn’t even get his question out. (via NBA on TNT)

The guy toward the end of the video said it best. “We’ve all been there, dude.” Wow. Incredible. That’s really all you can say.

I’m not even sure what to make of this. I don’t even know what this man should do. Me? I’d go home. Immediately. And maybe come back next week, or maybe not. Either way, I’d certainly be too embarrassed to continue on for the rest of the day.

But can’t you feel him, though!? I mean, LOOK AT RUSS. As soon as he says “multiple players come out,” he gets this glance.

Granted, Westbrook probably just couldn’t see the guy speaking here and was just looking for him in his seat. But still, that look, man.

That’s the same look your mom gives you when you say something slick and she’s like “what you say to me, son?” Shook. Nothing you can say to that face comes with a happy response.

Plus, Westbrook is known to have a somewhat turbulent relationship with the media. Have you ever been hit with one of these? No? Me either. And I ain’t trying to be — neither was this dude.

It’s all good, though. My man will be back and he’ll laugh about it. Westbrook sure did. After all, it’s happened to the best of us. We all freeze in the clutch sometimes, but, just like Westbrook, we’ve got to pick it up and keep shooting.
