Danica Patrick was a Bears fan until she started dating Aaron Rodgers

Now she’s apparently a Cheesehead.

Danica Patrick confirmed on Monday that she is dating Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Patrick told the Associated Press that she and Rodgers first met at the ESPYs back in 2012, but they didn’t start seeing each other until January 2018.

Rodgers split from Olivia Munn after a three-year relationship in 2017, and Patrick went through a breakup with fellow NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. last year.

We’re happy for these two, and we wish them all the best. There’s just one thing we need to talk about here.

Yes, Danica Patrick is a Bears fan — her boyfriend’s NFC North rival.

Or maybe we should say that Patrick WAS a Bears fan. She told Rodgers when she met him that she would always pull for him as a player.

“Now I am probably going to cheer for the whole team,” she said, via the AP. “Take out the word ‘probably.’ Now I’m going to cheer for the whole team.”

Maybe it’s an easy transition for Patrick, who was actually born in Wisconsin. So wait, how did she even become a Bears fan in the first place?

“See, we lived on the state line,” Patrick said on the Rich Eisen Show in March 2017. “So I was born in Beloit, Wisconsin, but we lived in South Beloit, Illinois.”

Based on our exhaustive research here at SB Nation (I looked it up on Google Maps), Patrick’s story checks out.

Patrick plans to race in both the Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500 this year and then call it a career. Rodgers will be back on the field with the Packers next season after missing most of 2017 with a broken collarbone.

When he does get back out there, Patrick will apparently be cheering on his Packers.
