Just over two years ago, Case Keenum took the starting job away from Nick Foles when both were quarterbacks for the St. Louis Rams. Almost exactly 26 months later, there is no football team in St. Louis, and those two quarterbacks are meeting in the NFC Championship as starters for the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles.
An Eagles-Rams-Vikings carousel spun 3 QBs and gave us Case Keenum vs. Nick Foles in the NFC Championship
The path to a Case Keenum vs. Nick Foles NFC Championship was a complicated one.

How in the world did we get here?
Well let’s try to break it down:
Ultimately, the path to a Keenum vs. Foles reunion was made possible by injuries.
Keenum’s time as a starter in Minnesota would’ve never happened if Sam Bradford’s knee held up for the entire season, or if Teddy Bridgewater made a faster recovery from the knee injury he suffered in 2016.
And Foles would’ve watched Carson Wentz from the sideline if the second-year quarterback hadn’t suffered a torn ACL late in the season.
But somehow here we are, and one of the two quarterbacks who started for the 2015 Rams — a team that finished No. 32 in total offense — will start in the Super Bowl in two weeks.
