ESPN’s Sean McDonough basically confirmed that Jon Gruden’s going to the Raiders

He gave Gruden a goodbye on what’s expected to be his last broadcast.

It hasn’t been a secret for a while now, but Sean McDonough made everything crystal clear when he bid Jon Gruden farewell prior to the Titans-Chiefs game on Saturday afternoon.

Reports for days have pinned Gruden as the next coach of the Oakland Raiders. McDonough congratulated Gruden prior to getting into the nitty gritty of the broadcast.

Of course, Gruden still said, “Nothing’s official yet, but these Chief fans have been on my case since I got here.”

The Raiders made it official on Saturday evening.

Gruden’s contract is rumored to be for 10 years and $100 million. He’s reportedly been picking his staff, which includes Greg Olson, Rich Gannon, and Paul Guenther.

Gruden will be resuming his coaching career after 10 years out of the game, but returning to a familiar face in the Raiders. With Derek Carr as his quarterback, it will be interesting to see how he does after a long hiatus, but equipped with a franchise quarterback.
