Nashville TV station lists Marcus Mariota as ‘QB-RB-WR-OL’ after do-it-all performance vs. Chiefs

It’s accurate. If you disagree, well, you’re a party pooper.

Marcus Mariota’s versatility helped the Titans overcome an 18-point deficit to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Wild Card Round on Saturday.

In the game, Mariota did what we’re used to seeing him (and many other quarterbacks) do. He threw the ball, and would scamper on the occasional run.

But he also caught a touchdown pass, and threw a block for Derrick Henry. That prompted NBC 4 in Nashville to give Mariota credit for all of his hard work in the chyron (via Reddit user DaPhillyKid):

We should probably mention that touchdown pass he caught — he threw it himself:

And that block that he threw ended up sealing the win after Henry got a first down:

It was a heck of a game for Mariota, and it was cool that the local news was going to make sure that their guy got the recognition he deserved.

Mariota’s touchdown pass to himself was the first we had seen in over 20 years:

The Titans’ comeback win means that the Chiefs now haven’t won a playoff game at home since Joe Montana was their quarterback. Andy Reid is now 1-4 with the Chiefs in the postseason, with Saturday’s loss just being another in a long line of disappointing playoff moments for Kansas City.
