The morning commute in Atlanta was hell on Monday after a tractor trailer carrying 89 cows flipped on I-285 in Cobb County, leaving dozens of cattle at large.
Dozens of cows are loose in Atlanta after a tractor trailer flipped
Where’s the beef?

The accident happened around 5 a.m. Monday and caused massive gridlock. The Atlanta Journal Constitution called the interstate “a parking lot,” as officials attempted to remove the tractor trailer and round up the cows.
Unfortunately, seven cows were killed in the accident after running onto the highway and being struck by other cars, and five remained on the trailer — however dozens are still at large, with a massive cowhunt underway to find the missing cattle.
So far they’ve popped up on construction sites.
A couple went to the bank.
One wandered onto another highway.
One broke loose and trucked over an official.
A group of volunteer cowboys are helping to wrangle the animals.
Several of the cows have been herded, but so many more are still loose.
A search by helicopter is being used now to try and find the rest of the loose cows and bring them in safely. We’ll have more on these loose cows as the story develops.
