Conor McGregor has definitely never thrown a football before

The UFC’s biggest star has no idea how to throw a football.

UFC star Conor McGregor is good at a lot of things, but we found out Sunday throwing a football is not one.

The former featherweight and lightweight champion was a guest of the Dallas Cowboys before their Week 6 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He gave the Cowboys a fiery pregame speech and then dropped back for a pass that was just so, so terrible.

There’s no control with the laces, he’s falling backwards, and he throws the ball like it’s a shot put. It’s all bad.

McGregor grew up in Dublin, Ireland, and clearly didn’t spend much time throwing footballs growing up. It was pretty much the same throwing form he had during a chaotic press conference in 2016 that included a lot of thrown water bottles, but a football is decidedly different than a water bottle.

His trip to Dallas seems like it’s been a successful one, though. The Cowboys have put together their best performance of the year with a domination of the Jacksonville Jaguars. It’s probably not because of McGregor, but the Cowboys sure seemed excited to have him in attendance.

And after their biggest plays against the Jaguars, the Cowboys paid homage to McGregor with his signature strut.

The Cowboys are feeling the McGregor vibes, but Sunday showed us that he definitely picked the right sport.
