Klay Thompson’s record three-point night is now a T-shirt

The Splash Brother added to his legacy on Monday night with his 3-point barrage against the Bulls. It’s being dubbed “The Headband Game,” and now it’s a T-shirt.

Not one. Not two. Not three. Not four. Not even five or six or seven.

Fourteen. Klay Thompson hit 14 three-pointers in the Warriors’ 149-124 win over the Chicago Bulls on Monday night.

Not only did he break an NBA record previously held by his fellow Splash Brother Stephen Curry, but Thompson put together a historical performance with incredible efficiency.

The 28-year-old went 18-for-29 in the game, and 14-24 from range. Yes, he scored 52 points in just 27 minutes. As our Tom Ziller pointed out, Thompson hit a three once every 1:51 minutes of game time. Oh, and Thompson checked out of the game with four minutes left in the third quarter.

Klay Thompson made history with his 14 3-pointers, and he made it look so effortless, too.

Apparently, the headband did the trick for Thompson. If you think it could help solve your shooting woes too, you can get the yellow headband, too.

Before his record-setting night, Thompson was shooting just 14 percent from three through the Warriors’ first seven games. On Monday night, Thompson hit more threes in the first quarter (seven) then he had all season.

If there was any worry about Thompson’s poor shooting to start the season, that all went to bed on Monday night. After his historic performance, the four-time All Star’s 3-point percentage jumped up 32 percent. I’m not a betting man, but it’s safe to assume that’ll keep rising too.

So, yeah, Klay is back.
