The strict roughing the passer rules have forced teams to practice bringing down quarterbacks in a way that doesn’t draw a yellow flag. Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has an idea: punch the absolute bejeezus out of them.
Hmm ... somehow I think that might be a penalty.
It’s basically the defensive equivalent of Ben Roethlisberger running through passing drills:
Suh, 31, probably isn’t going to punch Russell Wilson into next week when the Rams play the Seahawks in Week 5. But he does have a history of playing football about as violently as possible, and that earned him $620,284 in fines over the course of his career.
